We believe that jewelry is not just about carats and karats. It's a form of self-expression. You want your jewelry to say something about who you are as a person or to symbolize your unique relationship with the person you love.

Carter's Jewel Chest is thrilled to work with you on a bespoke jewelry commission and to help make your vision a reality.

Research & Consultation

Step One

The first step is to identify your style and vision. Think about the colors, shapes, and materials that appeal to you. Do you like yellow or white gold, or maybe platinum? Come instore and try on some styles! Make a list of what you like or find pictures that help to explain the image in your mind.

At this stage, we will also discuss your budget and talk about how different decisions can impact the total cost of your project. Finish custom pieces generally start around $1,200.

Designing & Sourcing Stones

Step Two

Once you have an idea of what you want, we will create a digital CAD rendering of the details you desire and complexities of the design. This process can take up to a week, but our associates will keep you up-to-date on any delays.

At this point, we do require a $100 deposit that will be applied to the final price of the piece.

Adjusting Details & Manufacturing

Step Three

When the digital render is complete, we will meet to discuss if any alterations need to be made to the CAD. Once you think the details are right, we can 3D print a model so you can hold the piece in your hands. After communicating through any other adjustments, with your 'Go' we can begin the manufacturing process.

Adjustments to design can take up to a week, and printing a 3D model takes 24 hours. A final quote will be provided, and half-down payment will be required before manufacturing begins.

Manufacturing can take 4-6 weeks.
